Tyre Choice

Post  Ashley Rushworth on Mon Oct 04, 2010 5:47 pm

Below is a list of tyres that appear in most series (and if not it still gives you a base to go around) and what weather they can work in Smile Once again, this is only from experience and is not gaurenteed to be 100% correct Razz

Cut Slick Soft - Bone Dry/Greasy
Cut Slick Hard - Bone Dry
Intermediate - Greasy/Moist/Drizzle/Light Rain/Rain
Wet - Light Rain/Rain/Wet and Slippery/Steady Rain/Heavy Rain/Treacherous Rain
Monsoon - Heavy Rain/Treacherous Rain/Monsoon/Storm

If you use an 'unsuitable' tyre choice in Practice or Warm-up, you will get very reduced feedback and might even cost you the race. This is only a brief explanation about tyre choice, if you want a more detailed explanation and more about the tyre sliders for the race, go here - http://batracer.com/-ph?read&107

Cut Slick Soft - Provides a lot of grip but wears down very fast.
Cut Slick Hard - Not much grip as Softs but are much more durable.
Intermediate - Suitable for changing conditions, but not too wet.
Wet - Wet weather tyre, can be used in conditions wetter than the Inters can handle.
Monsoon - This tyre is for Monsoon and Storm only, wears down very quickly in drier conditions.
